Mat Mortlock

Mat’s first true love was video games, and that level of passion has stayed constant throughout his life. It’s this love for the art form that motivates him to strive towards helping Digital Development Management’s clients achieve success. Mat has worked at DDM since 2011 which is a testament to his belief in the company’s goals and mission. Mat joined DDM from Codemasters where he headed the Acquisitions & Development Relations department, and it was here where Mat developed a strong duty towards providing studios concise, credible, and constructive evaluations of the games that were pitched. It is this duty and insight that he still employs with all the projects that DDM work on. Not delivering relevant and direct feedback is doing a disservice to our clients as well as the many groups DDM encounters, and Mat sees it as an essential part of DDM’s responsibilities to always provide this. DDM has a unique standing in the industry, and we utilise this to better equip our clients to focus on achieving creative excellence. As Senior Business Development Manager based in Manchester, England, Mat works closely with the rest of the European team to service DDM’s European clients and to help clients outside of the region navigate European opportunities.
