Rebecca Owen

Senior Business Development Manager

Business development is a dedicated practice. It’s about endurance, cultivating networks, recognizing opportunities, and collaboratively approaching partnerships to achieve the best possible outcome for all parties. In the video game sector, it also represents an opportunity to support the creation of art and guide its journey to the public. I am a lifelong gamer, drawn to business development because it offers the challenge of thoughtfully balancing creative fulfillment and commercial viability.

In my role as an agent, I help studios secure the essential partnerships they need to get their games to market. A lot happens between a game’s concept and launch, and I work with my clients, from inception through pitch, production, and release, to ensure their best chances for success. During quieter periods, when business development needs are less urgent, we create blueprints for the future. These moments are crucial for strategic planning and leveraging strengths to pave the way for success and stability. When challenges arise, having a dedicated partner who understands your unique situation and can mobilize a team of specialists is invaluable.

The rapidly evolving video games market is complex, and staying ahead requires more than a single perspective. DDM’s global reach and shared information among territory offices enable us to provide clients with comprehensive support and holistic insights, providing me with the foundation to best serve my studios.
